Photographing Aubryann and Ray’s engagement session was special for so many reasons—starting with the fact that Aubryann is my cousin! I’ve known her since the day she was born, so getting to capture this season of her life is an absolute honor.
We chose the University of Dayton campus for their session, which made it even more meaningful. This is where Aubryann and Ray met, studied, made memories, and built the foundation of their relationship. Walking through campus with them felt like retracing the steps of their story—from the places where they first crossed paths to the spots that became their everyday.
The evening was perfect. Warm sunshine, a light breeze, and the quiet calm of campus between semesters. Ray and Aubryann were completely at ease, laughing through each shot and sharing the kind of connection that makes photographing couples a joy.
There’s something really special about shooting in a place that holds so much personal meaning. You could feel it in the way they looked at each other, surrounded by memories that have shaped their relationship.
And now we’re just weeks away from their wedding at Cox Arboretum this July, and I truly can’t wait. Not only will it be gorgeous (hello, summer blooms!), but knowing Aubryann like I do makes it all the more emotional and exciting.
Scroll down to see a few of my favorite moments from their engagement session. Aubryann and Ray, I’m so thrilled for what’s ahead—your big day is going to be beautiful, heartfelt, and full of joy.
Aubryann and Ray, I can’t wait to capture your big day! Thank you for choosing me to capture this chapter in your lives!
