Mariah and TJ | Pickwick Wedding | 9.4.21 | Kayla Bertke photography & design

I met Mariah at the very first wedding I shot back in 2018 when she was a bridesmaid. She and TJ met with me the following year to book their 2020 wedding. Little did we know, we would be hit with the lovely virus we all know too well, and so they decided to postpone their date a whole year. After a year of waiting, I am sure I am not alone in feeling joy that these two were finally able to tie the knot!

I started the day by walking into the bridal suite to a smiling bride getting her makeup done. She immediately greeted me with a big hug and gave me her bag full of details to capture. After getting this beautiful bride all ready, it was time for her first looks with her dad and her soon-to-be husband! Both first looks went perfectly and we then ventured into the apple orchard to capture some portraits of the happy couple.

During their reception, we learned about how these two met through the speeches and it is quite a fun story! Mariah and her friend were riding in TJ's Uber and Mariah found him cute, so she got on the Uber app after reaching their destination and said that she had lost an item in his car so he would be the one who would be called! They exchanged information and the rest is history!

Mariah and TJ: Thank you for allowing me to capture this journey of yours! I know it may have happened a year later than originally planned, but it was absolutely beautiful! I wish you guys the very best in this next chapter of your lives!
